Hazard Golf Clothing was founded in 2006 by Dan Nicholl, and focuses on stylish, colourful and occasionally outrageous golf trousers, catering for an increasingly outgoing and liberal golf market. Hazard Originals are produced entirely in South Africa.
Dan is a well-known journalist and broadcaster in South Africa, and has been wearing “ridiculous trousers” (his mother’s words) on courses for the last five years, inspired by Freddie Jakobsen, Ian Poulter, and Nic Stipinovic. Dan has appeared regularly in Hazard Originals on television and at numerous events, including the 2008 Masters at Augusta (in a pair of South African flag trousers), and is believed to the first person ever to have played the Old Course at St. Andrews in pink florals.
Hazard Golf Clothing is produced by The Scottish Knitwear Group, owners of the Pringle label in South Africa, and distributors of English fashion label Ben Sherman.
