Sports Horizons launches new Hazard range

Specialist sports retailer Sports Horizons in the Design Quarter in Fourways hosted the launch of the latest range of trousers from flamboyant golf brand Hazard Golf Clothing, to tie in with the store becoming an exclusive retailer for Hazard's range of colourful trousers, shorts and Andy Capp-style headgear.

Former Charlton Athletic and Bafana Bafana striker Shaun Bartlett and 5FM and SuperSport presenter Sasha Martinengo, both keen golfers and avid supporters of the Hazard brand, joined the Sports Horizons team and Hazard CEO Dan Nicholl for the launch, which saw new red and white, and black and white floral designs, as well as a revamped version of the popular Hazard zebra stripe and South African flag ranges, make their debut at the store.

Hazard's first range of shorts also arrived, a prelude to a wider selection set to hit the market early this year.

"It's a great store, and with the owners running it themselves, we've found a perfect home for Hazard," said Nicholl at the launch. "The brand has grown exponentially over the last couple of years, and moving into Sports Horizons offers us a perfect retail platform for the new range."

"We're very excited about adding the Hazard brand to our store," added Owen Woods of Sports Horizons. "It adds colour and flair to the golf course, and the fact that the team has all adopted Hazard as an in-store uniform is testament to us all embracing some seriously cool fashion!"

Hazard Golf Clothing, wholly owned by Nicholl, is produced in partnership with the Scottish Knitwear Group, suppliers of the Pringle and Ben Sherman brands in South Africa, and will be available in more retail outlets around South Africa later this year.
